Why Medicaid matters
Medicaid eligibility is important for accessing certain DDD waiver-funded services. DDD eligibility and Medicaid eligibility are two separate requirements handled through different processes.
- Being found eligible for DDD does not automatically mean someone is Medicaid eligible.
- Families approaching adulthood are generally encouraged to look into Medicaid requirements early, rather than waiting until the individual leaves school.
